Welcomed lecturers and students from the Faculty of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs at IE University, Spain, who are in Kenya for an academic exchange programme. I engaged them on Kenya’s foreign policy priorities, highlighting our commitment to safeguarding sovereignty, promoting peace and security, and advancing national interests through strong bilateral and multilateral partnerships anchored on regionalism, Pan-Africanism and multilateralism. I encouraged the students to take up their role as global ambassadors of peace and stability, especially in a world facing increasing conflict, and wished them a meaningful and enriching stay in Kenya. Present were Chief of Staff Joseph Busiega, Director General of the Foreign Service Academy Amb. Patrick Wamoto, and Director General for Political and Diplomatic Affairs Amb. Josephat Maikara.
