You just made your first $1M. Your brain immediately jumps to the bigger house, the nicer car, that business idea you’ve been itching to execute. Resist all of it, that instinct is exactly why most people who come into money are broke again within a few years. The move nobody teaches you: do nothing. Let it sit. Don’t deploy it, don’t try to flip it, don’t show it off. Park it somewhere safe that pays you while you think. Lock it into a 2–3 month yield-bearing instrument e.g T-bills, low-risk positions, safe and battle-tested protocols. You’re not trying to get rich off it; you’re already there. You’re buying yourself time to think clearly and getting paid to do it. Run the numbers. $1M at just 5% APR: → $50,000 a year → $4,167 a month → $137 a day Every day you wake up, $137 landed in your account. You didn’t touch your principal. You didn’t lift a finger, and if that 5% compounds daily, you’re closer to $51,200 a year, the money starts making money on the money. So before you spend a single dollar or naira, ask yourself one question: can this purchase pay for itself from the interest alone? If yes, you’ve earned it. If no, you’re eating your seed. Anyone can GET money. Keeping it is a different skill entirely and it starts with the discipline to sit still while everyone expects you to splurge. Sometimes parking it and letting it pay you is the best play ever. This is from experience, don’t joke with your once-in-a-lifetime SEED when it comes your way.

My backtesting barely hits SL… something feels off 😳

How to backtest rightly ,I think I have drop a thread on it twice But let me chip this in Before you back Have a check list ,backtest with that check list If you are doing well in the backtesting and you are not in the real live market It is not a thing of knowledge anymore,it is impatient and lack of discipline towards the data you have backtested The difference between backtesting results and real life results is not mostly absent of knowledge but experience of timing Because in backtesting the time factor is not involved which means you can’t backtest your patient level , you can only backtest your knowledge acquisition not your patients level So you can’t know if you have issues with patient in backtesting cus there is no time factor That where forward testing comes in You forward both the knowledge and the time So if you are getting is correctly rejoice cus you have dealt with knowledge acquisition but you have to deal with timing factor to validate your knowledge

I started trading in 2021, it was very rough. I lost multiple accounts and failed many times. There were moments when I almost gave up because nothing seemed to be working. I borrowed money to fund my trading accounts, and sometimes I even used money meant for important things like my house rent, school fees only to lose it all. It was a difficult period, but I kept learning, improving, and pushing forward. Today, I am grateful to God for how far I have come. The same journey that was once filled with losses and setbacks has brought me to a place where I was able to buy my dream car this year. In hindsight, every struggle was part of the process, and I’m thankful I never gave up. Congratulations to me.
