Today, Office Supervisor Edith Pumphrey will be laid to rest. She served our city & department for 20 years. She was known for her bubbly personality & contagious laugh. BPD extends our deepest condolences to Ms. Pumphrey's family, friends & colleagues. May she rest in peace. 🕊

With profound sadness, we honor the life and service of Firefighter Paramedic John M. Moreno (1989-2026). John joined the Clark County Fire Department in January 2023, bringing with him the honor and dedication of his service as a United States Navy veteran. During his time with the department, he was known for his compassion toward those he served and his unwavering commitment to his crew. John answered the call to serve his community with courage and humility. Whether on an emergency scene or back at the station, he carried himself with quiet strength and a selfless willingness to help others. We mourn the loss of a firefighter, a paramedic, and a brother. Our thoughts and prayers are with John's family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of serving alongside him. Rest easy. 🙏
