Hard to believe these happen but they're way more common than you'd think.

I built a budget safe room with ¾” Plywood and 2x6 studs spaced 8” on center.
Everyone said it was silly because we lived in GA and there was no risk for severe weather or scenarios that required this.
A few years after the house was built, we had a hurricane reach deep into GA and destroy our entire town.
Needless to say having a safe room didn’t sound so crazy. No, it won’t save you from an F-5 tornado but it will reduce the chance of injury during severe weather.
Where do you stand? Waste of money or totally worth it?

PEX manifold system… 🤤
This is a PEX manifold system. It’s a central hub where every hot and cold line branches off to one specific fixture.
Think of it like a breaker panel, but for water. Each line has its own labeled shutoff, so servicing a single fixture never means cutting water to the rest of the house.
You can't ask for features you don't know exist.

😬 Sell the House or Rent...
Renting is the best move IMO... What do you suggest they do?
It’s a tricky call because it’s significantly cheaper in most scenarios to stay in the house you're in, especially if the interest rate is low.
But then when the time comes to move-in you're rolling the dice because you might not be able to sell your house in time.
You'll be paying for two mortgages while you wait for that old house to sell.
At least when you're renting you know you can line it up to where you can cut ties with your lease and move in. It's one less thing to worry about. What would you do?

Which one are you putting in your build? 👇
1️⃣ Stair lighting
2️⃣ Wall-mounted picture light
3️⃣ Under-shelf lighting
4️⃣ Lit shower niche
Whichever you pick, the move is the same: get it wired before drywall. The full list of upgrades and when to ask for each is in the checklist at BuilderBrigade.com.
