Abandoning or demolishing existing infrastructure to build shiny new things is an unaddressed type of infrastructure inequity. This issue exists well beyond the Science Centre/Ontario Place debacle. Here’s a short 🧵of common examples of this type of infrastructure inequity:

Thank you @jennkfrench for noting you could use 1/3rd of the money Ford plans to spend on a underground parking lot for the Ontario Place MegaSpa to address the entire repair backlog at the Science Centre! Ford responds Ontario Place is closed & is nothing but weeds. 🤦‍♂️ #onpoli
