#NASCAR ... Denny Hamlin wins the pole but he will start at the back of the field because of damage to the underbody of the car after having a flat tire in practice. Hamlin says the team will make repairs and have to go to the rear.

The narrative that people will lose interest is just that. A narrative. It's not true

If you get rid of stages and races start going green to checkers because there’s less attrition then ever before people will lose interest.
I’d rather stage cautions than mystery yellows for nothing or drivers throwing roll bar padding out the window.

I don't agree, but if 4 hours IS too long, we save 20 minutes per race with the stroke of a pen if we ditch stages. Otherwise, you want to take more track time away from the paying fan

@dennyhamlin @AlextheAdm1ral In 6 races at Nashville, the average time it has taken to complete the race is 3 hours, 29 minutes. 2 of these races were completed at the 3 hour mark. Only 1 hit the 4 hour mark.
Less cautions easily make this a 3 hour race, even with stage breaks.
Solution? Don't wreck
