The Somaliland government summoned the representatives of the international community based in the capital, Hargeisa, and briefed them on the latest developments regarding Somaliland’s airspace affairs.
All aircraft that flew over Somaliland's airspace today were given instructions stating that they cannot enter the airspace without the permission of the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
Official Dirctive Issued by the Somaliland Immigration and Border Control, visas or travel authorizations issued by the Federal government of Somalia are not valid for entry into the Republic of Somaliland, Individuals presenting these documents will be refused entry .

The Minister of Civil Aviation and Airports Development, Fuad Ahmed Nuh, today inspected the construction of Terminal 2 at the capital’s airport, Egal International Airport, which is expected to begin operations soon.
