Could proton therapy become the new standard of care for stage III NSCLC treated with radiation therapy? In 2013, the NCI invested in a study that just might prove that to be the case, supporting the enrollment of 330 participants in the RTOG 1308 study. @JeffBradleyMD REF: nrgoncology.org/Home/News/Post…

Many thanks @niyatilobo & @Urodoc46 for being open to the dialogue! GU rad oncs & uro oncs have highly specialized training & a shared mission for our #cancer patients. Past ⏰ to appreciate & leverage the former, in service of the latter. @Uroweb

Appreciate @UroDocAsh & #EAU26 for tackling this unhelpful uro vs. rad onc dynamic. Better to expend that energy on exploring biologic mechanisms & refining pt selection. Risk-adapted #bladder preservation protocols for recurrence AND complications are the future! @IBCG_BladderCA @urotoday @gu_onc @ASTRO_org @UroOnc

@niyatilobo @NehaVapiwala Agree 💯 Neha was excellent, as always. Even more impressive was how fairly and thoughtfully both sides presented the arguments @ParamMariappan @AlisonBirtle @NehaVapiwala

Yep. Plenty of reasons one might choose surgery over #radiotherapy, but the “can’t have surgery later” fear makes even less sense as an increasing # of effective alternatives emerge. “Losing” an option you don’t need is not a loss. This isn’t a knock on surgery, it’s a win for #prostatecancer patients.
Shankar Siva@_ShankarSiva

Important study shorturl.at/BJKye with super editorial by @NehaVapiwala @ASTRO_org. #prostatecancer patients are often surprised to hear; 1) you have ≤10% risk of prostate only failure and 2) you may not want surgery then anyway! Great alternatives available #pcsm @gu_onc #radonc

Thank you, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Dr. Drew, for bringing national attention to addiction recovery and for your commitment to saving lives. Initiatives like this give hope to communities everywhere. We are in the process of raising funds to build Tommy’s Home in Camden, NJ — a future safe haven for women and children who are victims of sex trafficking, many of whom are first trapped through drug addiction, making them vulnerable to exploitation. We would be grateful to learn how emerging programs like ours can seek guidance or support through this initiative as we work to turn this vision into reality. Tommyshome.com

Good morning Secretary Kennedy — I’m excited about your newly announced initiative and want to congratulate you on providing funding for addiction recovery programs. I’m the founder of Tommy’s Home (tommyshome.com), a faith-based initiative currently raising funds to build a program in Camden, NJ for women and children rescued from sex trafficking, with our first stage focused on drug recovery and family stabilization. Could you please share where we can find the application link or details on how to apply? We would be honored to participate. Thank you!
