Today Nutmeg turns 23 years old, which means she at least has 108 years in human age. We rescued Nutmeg when she was just a little kitten. We found her in a cardboard box. If it had been just a few days later, someone might have thrown her away. One of her eyes was bleeding. So we brought her home and had her treated, but she couldn't see out of one eye. The injury was so severe that her eye was damaged. And today she has been with us for 23 years. Now she hears much less and doesn't move as actively as she used to. She likes to sleep on soft surfaces and her favorite food is fish. We are very happy that she has spent so much of her life with us.
