🚧 ROAD CLOSURE 🚧  Caltrans will be performing night-time maintenance closures on the Morongo Trail round-about (north of I-10) and Apache Trail round-about (south of I-10) on Sunday, October 12th through Friday, October 17th between the hours of 9:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M.  The closure will include limited or no access to and from Interstate 10 and both round-abouts.   This project consists of adding new directionals, crosswalks, and lane stripes to the Morongo Trail round-about and Apache Trail round-about to aid traffic flow and reduce traffic crashes.   Please make sure to plan accordingly by using alternate routes to avoid delays and follow all posted detour signs.

Over the weekend, officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) San Gorgonio Pass Area, conducted an enforcement stop on a vehicle for excessive speed.  Upon contact, the driver displayed signs of alcohol intoxication.  A DUI investigation was conducted, and the driver was subsequently arrested for DUI.  While conducting a vehicle inventory, two unregistered firearms were located in the center console.  The driver was booked at a local jail for DUI and firearm related charges.   Drive sober or get pulled over.
