With Warrington clubs being affiliated to Liverpool, Cheshire and Lancashire FAs there is not one FA responsible for the town. Add to that Warrington Borough councils lack of interest and there you go

@TJapstrangler The council could insist that developers have to leave recreational space or build other infrastructure - they don't. Football does fund plenty, but can't if it's not given platform or land to do so.

You only realise just how poor football provision is in Warrington when you take teams to play in tournaments in neighbouring towns and see fantastic facilities. Warrington as a town only interested in building houses/flats and no infrastructure or amenities sadly.

@VillageClubFC The standard of the football facilities in and around Warrington are pathetic. Shaw Street like us at Bruche on Woolston park continually fails too deal with rain of any sort meaning players and clubs miss out on home games.

The U17’s and the U18’s have both had to move to away fixtures because Shaw Street is not fit for purpose yet again.
