Each AirPod has its own independent battery—they don't share power or sync levels. They drain and charge separately based on usage (e.g., calls often use just one side, or one sat in the case longer). The case has its own battery too, powering them individually. That's why you see big gaps like 2% vs 99%. Common misconception is thinking they're linked like one unit.
