This is about repairing public trust in local government — that’s the foundation of good governance. My proposed legislation puts clear, new rules in place to reduce the potential influence of consultants’ political or financial interests on public policy.

A few of the investments I was able to secure in the Budget package: • Recovery Housing:$150k investment to support individuals exiting treatment programs so they can live in supportive recovery housing. •Youth Violence Prevention:$250k to youth violence prevention programs.

Federal cuts are threatening housing stability. That's why I proposed a $10M rental assistance amendment to the budget, and I'm proud my colleagues unanimously co-sponsored it. We must support Seattle's low-income renters and the housing providers who serve them.
