A large DEMONSTRATION AGAINST SECESSION is currently taking place in Boorama in the AWDAL region according to locals in the region.
ADDITIONALLY AWDAL is home to the GADABURSIS CLAN according to scholars I. M. Lewis, emphasized in his BOOK, clan identity, social organization, political authority, and conflict resolution.
The GADABURSIS clan have consistently REJECTED SECESSION in northern Somalia.
In recent times, the area has been experiencing significant instability and large INSECURITY.

The essay pointed out the imbalance in the relationship and warned that the structure of the relationship did not bode well for Somalia and Somalis.
