The Heat were projected to win 37-39 games this season. They've won 40. But this was never about how many -- it's about how. Getting to the end of the season with Spoelstra trusting 7 while reducing Ware and Jakucionis's roles is not ideal.

Reminder: The Miami Heat were the only team in the East this season to NOT make a trade. Over the years, they have missed out on players like Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, Donovan Mitchell, Kyrie Irving, Russell Westbrook, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bradley Beal, and Ja Morant. They are now 2–8 in their last 10 games and sit as the 10th seed in the East, poised to head to the play-in tournament for the fourth straight season. Mediocrity.

What's been funny is that when the park opened, there were no banners. Then they remembered a few weeks later they won some titles and threw little flags up, then translucent banners.
This franchise hates their history.
