December brought 217 Requests for Service from the Central Valley Fire District. 93 of those calls (44%) occurred while another call was in progress. The fire district responded to 2,472 requests for service during 2023.

The Central Valley Fire District responded to 191 requests for service in November. 33% of those incidents overlapped, with 2 or more calls occurring at that time.

The Central Valley Fire District is honored to receive a donation of a painting titled “Fire Tornado” from Duncan Bullock Fine Art of Bozeman. Her concern about the Bridger Foothills wildfire in 2020 and others far and wide inspired the creation of the dramatic 4’ by 5’ painting.

Open Burning has been re-opened within the Central Valley Fire District. Burn permits can be purchased at gallatinburnpermits.com or at Station 1. Only natural vegetation is allowed to be burned with an activated burn permit.
