A Heat Advisory is in effect for San Francisco through Friday 8 p.m. Temps in the 80s are possible in San Francisco. Take steps to stay safe in the heat: • Drink water and take breaks from the heat • Open windows safely to prevent falls (use screens/guards, open from the top if possible, and always supervise children around open windows) • Use fans to circulate air • Check in with neighbors, especially older adults, people with disabilities, and those living alone. • If heading to the beach to cool off, watch for strong currents and extremely cold water.
