#SpeakerSpotlight Dr. Ricky Turgeon is an Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Ricky is also a pharmacist in the “PHARM-HF” clinic based at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver. Ricky will be presenting "Medication considerations for individuals living with a Fontan" at our Fontan Education Day event. Meet our Co-Emcees for Fontan Education Day! Reena Clarkson lives with a Fontan circulation and is co-hosting the Fontan Education Day for the third year. She works in event management and marketing/communications. She has been advocating for a holistic approach to patient care for over 20 years. Reena is the Committee Chair for the Canadian Fontan Patient & Family Advocacy Committee and has led the social media campaign for the Fontan Education Day. Jennifer Gowan is a ‘Fontan mom’ from New Brunswick who works as an Educational Assistant. Her son had his Fontan in 2004 at Sick Kids and was followed by cardiologists at IWK in Halifax. During the pandemic, he transitioned to adult care at the Halifax Infirmary. This is Jennifer's third year co-hosting Fontan Education Day.
