To be clear, the Bucs made a strong push with their offer to keep Mike Evans. It was not about the money. This was about a new challenge and finishing the final years of his career in a way that allows him to try and win another Super Bowl, to try and cement his legacy. Mike loves Tampa and cares deeply about his teammates. He was also very discouraged during those late-season losses and missing out on the playoffs. It was very evident every time I spoke to him.
