Excited to share that I was awarded an @NSF OCE Postdoc Research Fellowship! The project merges my PhD work on coral endoliths with my postdoc research on microbial sulfur cycling. I’ll continue working in the @Rufflab at @MBLScience along with a wonderful team of collaborators!

I'm rather amazed that this basement algae upflow air-lift chemostat has been running continuously for > 5 years, yet is still basically ~100% Tetraselmis sp. Dilution rate is 0.1 1/d. Every two months algae is scrubbed from the acrylic tube (in kitchen sink 😁), 1/2
