@vernhildyhilda @catturd2 I probably don't have a long, agonizing death to look forward to thanks to MAID, I can attend (or not attend) any religious gathering I want to and I was not obligated to get any COVID vaccine, although I willingly did. The only thing Canada has lost to the USA is another whiner.

I was born in Canada. I became a naturalized US Citizen in 2022. It wasn't a super easy decision at the time because Canada was my birthland, where I was raised. Sadly, all the sudden decisions such as MAID, lack of religious freedom, government oversight regarding covid have all made me feel beyond fortunate to have become an American citizen. Canada has lost it's soul.

If Justin Trudeau marries Katy Perry he can become a US citizen and save on taxes from his 2 taxpayer funded Canadian pensions. Elbows up, losers.

@RiseOfAlberta All kinds of silly ideas are brought up for discussion at party conventions. Doesn't mean they are policy or even being contemplated by the party. What it does mean is that the people attending are free to present their ideas (no matter how foolish).

At the Liberal convention in Montreal, they were discussing a $500,000 exit tax. A failing regime doesn't look at people fleeing and ask, “How do we make life better?” It asks, “How do we stop them from leaving?”

@wealthmoose He did NOT say that our military spending on USA equipment was going to $00. It will be reduced due to more domestic spending (more Canadian jobs) as well as the purchase of equipment from other countries. Why is this a problem?

🚨 Mark Carney: The days of our military sending 70 cents of every dollar to the United States are over. 🇨🇦 Canada vs 🇺🇸 U.S. military: 🇺🇸 11 aircraft carriers 🇨🇦 0 🇺🇸 13,000+ aircraft 🇨🇦 ~350 🇺🇸 5,000+ nukes 🇨🇦 0 🇺🇸 $850B defense 🇨🇦 $35B And we’re shocked we “depend” on the U.S.? 🇺🇸🤔 🇨🇦 Canada does not build a full military ecosystem (no carriers, no nukes, limited manufacturing scale) •The U.S. provides: 🇺🇸 •Continental defense (NORAD) •Nuclear deterrence •Global security umbrella 👉 In plain terms: Canada is a highly integrated junior partner in a U.S.-led defense system, not an independent military power. Why is @MarkJCarney misleading Canadians ? 🚩 #Canada #USA #Trump #Cdnpoli

@briangarrett @Tybernicus17 Brian don't be put off by these comments. We have a big city with problems but overall, we have a great place. Tons of people live downtown, further out, many different neighbourhoods, lot of attractions, sports, culture etc. Glad you enjoyed it.

My first time in Canada has been great Toronto’s an amazing city it’s a lot like NYC where you can just roam around aimlessly each street has a different vibe and there’s a lot of cool little pocket areas this is the hockey hall of fame and the famous CN Tower in the picture 🏙️

@catturd2 PM Carney didn’t say spending in the USA is going to $00., just that it will not remain at 70% of our military spending. Similar 75% of our exports going to the USA will fal to something less than 75%. Hopefully we can start spending some of that on domestic industries.

@gator_gum Like the very prolific @Tablesalt13 who tweeted “everyone I know who makes over $250K is leaving”. What a terrible country that allowed them to become that successful…crybabies.

Canada is so terrible and so oppressive. The government makes you poor and doesn't allow for growth and opportunity.... Say a bunch of rich, wealthy, privileged Canadians that were absolutely able to grow and given ample opportunity.

Fox News: You said hundreds of super tankers are headed to the Gulf of America to buy oil and gas from the US. What can you tell us about that? Trump: Well, I can tell you that it used to be called the Gulf of Mexico. Now it's called the Gulf of America because of me. One of my little sidelines. People are so happy. I must tell you, I was thinking about calling it the Gulf of Trump.

@Caronbbc @FurkanGozukara Yep, but if the US withdraws from NATO, we can still make treaties with individual nations, including current NATO members.

Massive geopolitical shift. The Dutch Chief of Defence confirms Europe is actively preparing to sideline the US military. They are building an independent defense force using cheap advanced tech because they can no longer rely on the chaotic Trump administration.

@FurkanGozukara Good, this is great news. The US can start a drawdown from NATO. I am sure we can work with real friends like Greece and Poland for basing rights. Let Europe defend Europe.

@MikeTheNavyGuy1 "everyone I know who makes over 250k..." I'm not sure I know anyone who makes over $250K. How can you move in those privileged social circles and post petty, whiney complaints every day of your life?

Canda’s Texas, Alberta, added 101,000 jobs in the past year. Every other province combined lost 13,900. Why should Alberta be tied down by dead weight? Separate already.

@Smileyyeg I take exception to your assertion that two provinces want to separate. There are a number of people living in those provinces who want to separate and there are likely some in all provinces. At this time, there are more people who are NOT separatists.

@MikeKozlowski7 @stevenman47 @greta I would never understate the contribution of the US forces in the world wars. At the same time, you should not take too much credit on their behalf, ours fought just as valiantly and for a much longer time. We still have a king BTW.

You guys were a dominion under Great Britain through both world wars. You didn’t get a constitution until 1982. So every American that died in both world wars that saved you and Great Britain is blood spilled for you. Canadians hating on America is stupid. If it wasn’t for our republic you would be answering to a king.

@MikeKozlowski7 @stevenman47 @greta You all new "War Department" is doing so well. Trump has declared victory over Iran 4 or 5 time now. Can you give any example of an American soldier spilling blood for Canada? The reverse for example are the 158 Canadians who died in Afghanistan for the USA.

That’s due to the foolish concept of a defense department instead of a department of war. Canada has benefited by the sacrifices of American soldiers. To hear the rhetoric tells us we don’t need to spill our blood for your safety and we have more wins, stalemates or anything else you won’t to call it than 🇨🇦

@greta The "ride" was earned. Trump does nothing for nothing. @greta I think I remember you from the times you covered the Apollo missions and before that the Gemini missions. I would include the Mercury missions but that would make you too old. Nice to see you're still around!
