🚨Be cautious of this form of abuse/manipulation! It usually goes unnoticed or gets swept under the rug because it’s in the confines of a relationship. I see it happen far too often to my fellow creators and it was done to me years ago. I was just lucky enough to catch it and end things before it went too far. Having said that, we all know dudes are shady af so typically they will do this to their gf. They will date you because obvi being a content creator is appealing. We’re creative, doing our own thing, have a certain level of confidence and ambition. Plus who wouldn’t want to fuck a pornstar right? And they will assure you it’s totally cool. Then like clockwork he’ll say why don’t we make content together? (Even though he’s never had any experience with that let alone any biz experience) Shit, maybe you even brought it up. Because ofc it’s convenient and yall get along so why not. You start showing him the ropes, sharing your network and even referring him to other girls. Then slowly but surely he will tell you that he’s not okay with you making content with other people. Potentially even gaslighting you into thinking it was your idea. The love bombing can be blinding. Your light starts to dim, you lose momentum and your connections and he’s now gotten exactly what he wants. These, my friends are what we call leeches. Unfortunately so often you won’t realize it until it’s too late. So be careful on compromising your morals, boundaries, ambition and livelihood for even your partner. Do not let these people sneak into your life and our industry 🚩 Stay strong and stay aware peeps 💯
