Before any idiots come out eulogizing the terrorists of the Iranian regime who have perished in the Israeli air strikes against the Islamic Republic of Iran, remember that the Mullah fascists occupied four Arab countries, contributed to the death of hundreds of thousands of Arab people, empowered Hamas to destroy Gaza and fueled a lethal cocktail of terrorists across the Middle East in the name of "resistance." The people of Iran, just like the people of Gaza, the people of Lebanon and Syria, and others in the Middle East, have been held hostage by a terrorist regime that has to be destroyed so that humanity in the region can have a chance at survival. Of course, Netanyahu is not a trustworthy leader and his actions should be scrutinized. But there will never be peace in the Middle East, and there definitely will never be a safe, stable Palestinian state or people, as long as the Islamic Republic of Iran exists, and especially if this terrorist regime has nuclear weapons. The cowardly left and the isolationist right will scream to the moon and back that they are anti-war, but remember these are the same people who let Bashar al-Assad continue to slaughter his people for a decade, and believed in allowing Islamist terrorists to thrive in the Middle East, all in the name of supposedly opposing war. Sometimes, you can only fight fire with fire.

Having listened to the arguments of both sides over the last year, I'm no longer on the fence about Israel's war. Here is why:

@piersmorgan A great example of his blatant animosity towards the Jewish state and the double standards he judges her by. When you call it “complicated” which it is he claims you are just saying that to avoid the question but 20 min later he says the US southern border is complicated.
moi@CentristTake

@PiersUncensored @piersmorgan @mehdirhasan @piersmorgan I like this clip more. Complete hypocrisy. @mehdirhasan you consistently hold Israel to double standards. You are quick to call Israel "genocidal" but stop centimeters before justifying Hamas + Hezbollah's actions because "what else do you expect they're occupied".

And as I told you, there is no comparison between the two wars… so your attempt to conflate them to suit your virulently anti-Israel agenda is very disingenuous..
Mehdi Hasan@mehdirhasan

I told @piersmorgan that I try and be “morally consistent” - I oppose the illegal Russian occupation of Ukraine *and* the illegal Israeli occupation of Gaza, West Bank, & Golan. Why can’t he? There’s no “both sides” to occupation. Full interview: youtu.be/Qo_uGb95hic?si…

@_Assaf_MD @piersmorgan For starters the people of Crimea haven’t been waging terror attacks, shooting missiles and constantly threatening Russian security.

@piersmorgan Why? What’s the difference between the occupation in the West Bank, Gaza, East Jerusalem and the occupation of Crimea?

@FayyazSHussain @mehdirhasan @piersmorgan I am comfortable knowing enough so as to not compare Israel’s standing in the West Bank and Gaza to Russias completely unwarranted invasion of Ukraine. Since you feel so informed: Any idea who occupied Gaza and the West Bank from 48-67?? Why was no Palestinian state formed?

@CentristTake @mehdirhasan @piersmorgan I recommend looking into historical analyses that examine the motivations and actions of all parties involved, as well as the broader socio-political context that has shaped these events.

@FayyazSHussain @mehdirhasan @piersmorgan “As a response to ____” “As a response to ____” “As a response to ____” …. All the way back to the 1800s This is not Russia Ukraine. There is a reason this is a complicated and instead of bringing nuance and working towards solutions, @mehdirhasan is only adding fuel to fire.

@CentristTake @mehdirhasan @piersmorgan The Second Intifada (2000-2005), on the other hand, was marked by significantly higher levels of violence, including suicide bombings and military confrontations, resulting in thousands of casualties on both sides.

@FayyazSHussain @mehdirhasan @piersmorgan Sure the First Intifada was comparatively less violent than the Second but it was by no means peaceful. Throughout history there are plenty of occasions of Arab (and some Jewish) terrorists attacks. Painting this as a binary oppressor vs oppressed narrative is just plain false.

@FayyazSHussain @mehdirhasan @piersmorgan Oh I’m sorry where can I read about the First or Second Intifada that Ukraine did against Russia? Any books you suggest or maybe audiobooks since you’re probably illiterate?

@mehdirhasan @piersmorgan HAHAHAHA You call out @piersmorgan when he says the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is complicated (which it is…) but when he asks you about the border now “it’s complicated”. You are a hypocrite who hates Israel and sees the world thru a binary lens of “oppressor vs oppressed”.

@Re8elDissident @daniepstein_com @mehdirhasan @piersmorgan Don’t you think it’s odd that neither Lebanon nor Gaza data separates civilian deaths from militant ones? I mean at least Hezbollah puts out a nice flier when one of their fighters get what they deserve. Interestingly Al Jazeera doesn’t even try to report those bc who cares ig…

@mehdirhasan @piersmorgan Mehdi simply plucks random figures out of the air in the hope that someone will believe him. Well, that someone is Piers. Of course, the 11,000 rockets Hezbollah has fired over the past 11 months is irrelevant. If you are shooting at Jews, Mehdi has no issue with it.

@PiersUncensored @piersmorgan @mehdirhasan And that is not to say tens of thousands of innocent Gazans have not been killed due to Israeli attacks. I’m not disputing that. The destruction of Gaza is an incredibly sad reality that HAMAS brought upon its people. But Sinwar + Haniyeh knew it would happen and did it anyways.

@PiersUncensored @piersmorgan @mehdirhasan Don’t believe me? Just consider the lengths Israel takes to limit civilian harm. What does Hamas do to limit civilian deaths? Nothing. They aim to MAXIMIZE both Israeli AND Palestinian civilian death tolls. Every innocent death helps them win the PR game YOU play for them.
