The 2025 Orientation is coming! This is for all incoming 7th & 8th graders & 6th graders who couldn't attend Hawk Camp. This is more of an open house setting so you may attend any time between 4 and 6 pm. We look forward to seeing all our returning, and any new, Hawks there!

Don't stress, we are still on for the 8th Grade Formal, even with the school board making it a day off for all students and staff. We hope this gives our Hawks (students and adults attending!) extra time to be all primped and primed for the celebration!

Are you planning or thinking of playing a sport at SPS next year? If so, get a jump start by coming out to Nansemond River HS on Thurs., May 29, for your 2025-26 Physical. They will begin at 5:30 pm and end promptly at 7:30 pm so make sure you don't delay your arrival!

The donut fundraiser has been extended to accept sales up to March 10th! Certificates will be delivered to students on the 12th of March. Help our FBLA members soar to their competition by ordering one for yourself!

Field Hockey and Football tryouts are coming up next week! Make sure your athlete has a current sports physical ON FILE or in hand when they come to tryouts! No physical, no tryout! If you are unsure, speak to Coach Barbee to check your status. See you on the green Hawks!

Get ready to satisfy your sweet tooth while supporting a great cause! The CFCMS FBLA is excited be selling Krispy Kreme certificates to raise some DOUGH to attend their State Leadership Conference and Competition. Indulge in delicious donuts while helping them reach their goal!

Cheer Tryouts are on March 6, 5 - 7 pm. As with all sports, students must have (and keep) at least a 2.0 GPA and must have a current VHSL Sports Physical on file prior to tryouts. Sign up sheets are located in each grade pod. See Coach Barbee for any questions.

The previously cancelled Valentines dance is BACK as our new Sneakerball Gym Jam! Wear your stylish outfit and coolest sneakers and rock the night away! Tickets are on sale this week in each pod before 720 only. See you there Hawks!

We hope our Hawks have been behaving because our next dance is here! The FBLA sponsored Sole-mate Sneaker-ball, is on Thurs, Feb. 13, 6 to 8 p.m. at CFCMS. Tickets go on sale Monday AM in each pod, $5 cash only! It's. going to be a hawk of a good time!
