Wed, Mar 23, 2:53pm: The brush fire burning southwest of Buena Vista has been fully contained. An all clear has been issued for residents. Chaffee Fire continues to work on remaining hot spots. Initial estimates are 40-50 acres of grasslands involved, pending full assessment.

Wed, Mar 23, ~12:30: A multi-acre brush fire in the vicinity of CR319 & Hwy 285, ~3-4 miles SW of Buena Vista, has been reported and is being managed by local agencies at this time. Pre-evac notice has been sent to residents in the area. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

Due to a fiber line cut in the CenturyLink/Lumen system, wifi & phones are down for personnel in the 104 Crestone building since Thurs. Repairs are underway & service should be back up later today. Motor Vehicle Office at 104 Crestone is still open for business, Fri, 6/25, 8a-4p.
