@bountyxhunted I think challonge is probably still easier to use for fast lightweight brackets you make with little to no time to set up. Making a startgg page quickly without an existing template to copy is more work than just throwing up a blank challonge bracket still.

I feel like a new hype game drowned out the biggest new thing to happen yesterday, Start gg actually did a UI update that fixed the terrible lag that has plagued the website for years. It is actually usable now!?

@dorkasaurus_rex @gncfosho @roycebracketfgc it’s why i only run brackets on @Challonge hey @Challonge have you fixed/changed that thing where round labels get messed up if the bracket has another round added to it as additional people register? (all labels get pushed back 1 round; e.g. losers finals goes where semis was)

fgc locals have a discoverability problem, there needs to be some centralized app where you can plug in your location and get a list of active venues near you. if you don't know then you can't go!

@LastLevelNC You are unkind. Passionate, but unkind. Challonge has always allowed text-based participants to be added to individual tournaments. A feature that enables TOs to add text-based participants to multiple tournaments within an event all at once is a time-saving idea we'll consider.

@Challonge again, multiple brackets. I can't just add a person, without email, to brackets. email is not a necessity when they're standing right in front of me. stick your PR response up your ass and hire people who know how this works. 15 years and this is all the farther you've gotten?

@Challonge Being able to make a quick and easy bracket offline/not require constantly reconnecting to a server, so that me and a few friends could make a simple bracket or round robin when hanging out would be cool. Thanks much appreciated for responding.

@Challonge hello again, i noticed when i post challonge links on discord the embed doesn’t display correctly. i read online somewhere that discord could be flagging challonge link embeds to not display or something — any idea what’s up with this?

@Challonge Years ago i was told repeatedly by the team that we would be able to pull player stats (W/L, games, tournaments, etc) in the V2 API and when that finally dropped 3 years later, you still couldn't. Now were here more years later and asking yet again, why isnt this an option yet?

@LastLevelNC We're sorry you don't want to hear about our rebrand, and we do like supporting events with multiple tournaments. Email is required to deliver the ticket to the person. If you want to just add them to a tournament, you can do that under the "Participants" tab of the tournament.

@Challonge if I, the "administrator," can't add a "ticket order" without needing an email address, I don't want to hear it. I don't know why you seem so adverse to the idea of events with multiple tournaments and being able to manage anything about them.

@StaxRL @StumpyRobothing Thank you. We got it fixed. It appears that round 3 was manually triggered twice by the same person (or by two admins at the same time) instead of waiting for it to auto-populate. To help prevent this in the future, we've increased the time delay before showing the manual option.

They're running this tournament on Challonge (hi @StumpyRobothing) and the system broke in round 3. It gave me credit for 2 Byes in round 3 when I only had the one, and round 4 wouldn't load so they've had to manually pair rounds 4 and 5. Of Swiss. Pain 🙈

@lunarrkriss Startgg bugs out so often. The only reason I rank it above Challonge is cuz you can actually view rosters. Sendou.ink is by far the best. It's not even a contest. Designed specifically for comp splatoon.

QUESTION FOR SPLATOON COMP PLAYERS: If you've played a tourney on start.gg and a tourney on other platforms, do you prefer start.gg for the overall tourney experience as a competitor? Why and why not? I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts.
