Yesterday, the Journey Foundation presented Sheriff Heuerman with a $10,000 check to help the Sheriff’s Office continue to identify and remove impaired motorists from our roadways before a motor vehicle accident can occur. We are truly grateful for the support.

In addition to awesome Correctional Officers, we work with great nursing staff in the jails! Several of our employees also have spouses who are nurses. HAPPY NURSE APPRECIATION DAY!!! We DO appreciate you!

Correctional Officers today are faced with more challenges than ever before - increased violence, increased mental health needs of both inmates and Officers, and COVID-19, just to name a few. THANK YOU for all the hard work you put into this challenging profession.

Congratulations!! Sheriff Heuerman swore in Jesse Marsh today as a Deputy in our Law Enforcement Division. Deputy Marsh was hired as part of our experienced officer hiring program and comes to us from the Illinois State University Police Department.
