Neanderthal, The terms "US" and "domestic" are abstract concepts that can only be determined after the fact based on data analysis. The reality is that crude oils, natural gas, diesel & gasoline are all bought and sold in the global futures markets. Like stocks, buyers and sellers have no personal interactions. All we really know is that the original creator of an oil futures contract is an oil producer somewhere in the world & the final owner of that contract is a refinery somewhere in the 🌎.

If the United States has all of this extra oil to supply the rest of the world dependent on the Strait of Hormuz, then why have our gas prices risen by 80% over the past 30 days?
