@Ola_tunjl@tier_1st Not with a damaged groin. When our u21 coach picked a useless Garnacho over you and he still was more ‘useful’ than you, it speaks volumes
Chelsea looked better without Palmer during that injury spell under Maresca. He came back, results dipped. That groin issue is clearly affecting him and the team. Maybe it’s time to ease him in from the bench
🚨 McFarlane: “Hato has probably been one of our best players over the last 5-6 games but I decided to go for Tosin mainly because of Calvert Lewin’s aerial threat”
Former Chelsea star Pat Nevin accuses Chelsea of gamesmanship:
🗣️ “It’s pure gamesmanship. That’s a problem in the game. If you are the referee, you’ve got to make a decision. He’s not injured.”
@WaveyPostMedia@pepcalma He’s not fit and refused surgery. Thats his fault but a very silly reason to sell a player who when fit was rated top 10 in the world last year.
@pepcalma Finally people are seeing this
I’ve hated palmer nearly a year now he’s worthless sell up and move on
He doesn’t bleed blue fuck him honestly we are much better without this kid
@losjordanian@Samestimi@FabrizioRomano@DanjumaJonatha2 A lot of My annoyance and blame goes to the refs who blow the same game much differently (allowing more physicality) in England than in the Champions League or Euros & FIFA events (WC, etc). The players say this is a big reason why less football is played in England & more duels
🚨 BREAKING: Xavi Simons has torn his ACL and will be out for the rest of the season with Tottenham.
Xavi will be back to action in 2027.
Get well soon ❤️🩹🇳🇱
Romeu Lavia is offering nothing in this match. Defensively he is poor, offensively he is poor. I don't even know if he is playing as a CM or as a DM. He is just a shadow of himself
@AlChelsFC@iam_brau Don’t mind enemies of progress. Lavia is part of the reason Enzo was freed up to cause damage in the first half. He tired in the second half due to injury fitness concerns
@losjordanian@Samestimi@FabrizioRomano@DanjumaJonatha2 Yes, higher frequency of games = less recovery = more injuries. But rotation solely doesn’t reduce injuries esp when refs encourage physical duels and fouls without calls or cards. Chelsea has been rotating even to the annoyance of their managers and still the injuries occur
@ChelseaGodfada@Samestimi@FabrizioRomano@DanjumaJonatha2 Maybe the case for the PL, but there is no question about the direct correlation between fatigue (and injuries) and the frequency of play.
Rotations allow for proper recovery in between matches.
Also, some players are more prone to repetitive injuries and longer recovery.
I think Palmer should have done the surgery last year. Delaying it only made him worse.
Cos Chelsea has obviously been playing better without him on the pitch. And once he's on the pitch, he looks like a shadow of who we are used to.
I hope he does well in the World Cup.
@Baatundae How will he do well when he’s running at half speed? His selfishness caused this. He should’ve had the groin surgery in August or September last year but opted to let it ‘heal’ naturally because he was concerned about his WC spot.
@Samestimi@losjordanian@FabrizioRomano@DanjumaJonatha2 Thats my point. Rotating has Not prevented injuries and the injuries have affected the team’s overall performances over time. The issue in England has more to do with the high intensity of their league and less about failure to rotate.
