@HoskinsSam @Redcarracing Minimum prize money values should be higher given their much more lucrative for courses. No sympathy for Redcar if they lose Sat spot

Woeful prizemoney from @Redcarracing on a Saturday with only one race worth more than £10k and that’s a 0-95 worth £15k (very poor for the grade). These kind of meetings don’t deserve any defence!

What does disqualified for rider failing to draw correct race on Trapper John?

@HoskinsSam Meetings that are in the prime slots that are much more commercially appealing and have bigger crowds etc., should be forced to provide minimum prize money. Saturdays are by far the best for race goers so not sure reducing racing then is the answer

3 jumps meetings tomorrow with 15 out of 21 races having 7 or less runners. 2 of the meetings are in the afternoon and, between them, contain only 2 races worth over £10k (£5k to the winner) in total. Too much jumps racing for this time of year & too little money for prime slots.

@HoskinsSam They clearly are a good idea for racecourses, so surely the BHA should be putting a new minimum prize money ruling for weekend fixtures?

Three jumps meetings on Derby day - madness! One of them surely has to go for 2024?

Unfortunate error to make but 1/2 furlong marker was exactly the same as finishing post really. Surely 1/2 furlong markers should be a completely different shape?

@BigInTheRing His CC win was up there with Sprinter’s first and Kautos King George by 36l. Often forgotten he won 7 G1s after that win

Think this is the kind of change NH needs. There are way too many non-event graded races in the months leading up to Cheltenham. Fewer, more competitive top level races which force good horses to run against each other is a positive development.

Concorde runs again today and is 2/9, with his 3 runs at odds on in a week meaning connections were very aware of how well in he was, and how much he’d improved since his handicap qualifying runs. His owner? The wife of ex BHA chairman, Paul Roy.

Remember going a right gallop in a Newton novice chase and thinking 3 out it will take a good one to beat me here, I’ve not missed a beat. Then Coole Cody came past on bridle. Safe to say he was pretty decent! Happy retirement
