@HMRCcustomers Thank you, it worked. The form is not very obvious though. Thanks for your patience Sofia!
English

@ChouettBlog to click onto the relevant section within the Fill in your return part, & scroll to the bottom & select 'delete this section'. Sofia 2/2
English

I have been holding for 56mins on 0300 200 3310 @HMRCcustomers. filling in self assessment return but there's an error on the 'Tailor Your Return' with no option to correct. The form will simply not save. It's the only section where it is happening. Help! 58 mins is long enough
English

@HMRCcustomers can you show me where the delete option would be?
English

@ChouettBlog It isn't an error with section 3. The reason you receive this message is usually when an answer is trying to be changed, which needs amending from section 4 to proceed. I'd advise to check all the sections on 'fill in your return'. Sofia
English

@HMRCcustomers Here's where the error is
Tailor your return
Change your tailored return (page 1)ENTERED
Correct your tailored return (page 2)ERROR
Change your tailored return
(page3)ENTERED
When I go to page 2, there is no option to delete.
English

@ChouettBlog You need to go to 4.Fill In Your Return. Check the sections are all correct and apply. It'll show different sections such as 'Self-Employment' etc. If any are incorrect you'll need to go to the section & delete it. Sofia
English

@HMRCcustomers Fill in your return is section 4 and works just fine
English

@ChouettBlog No, it needs to be from one of the sections in 'Fill in your return'. Sofia
English

@HMRCcustomers The issue I have is with the section before the 'fill in your return' section with is section 3
English

@HMRCcustomers So, is 'Tailor your return' considered a section? Because if it is, I can tell you that the delete option you mentioned is not available.
English

@ChouettBlog It needs to be on a specific page, for example, the section 'Self-employment'. You'd need to click into the actual page & scroll to the bottom to delete it. Sofia
English

@HMRCcustomers Already done that, there is no 'delete section' option available.
English

@ChouettBlog Thanks for confirming. I'd advise to check the 'Fill in your return' section & check which pages are relevant. If there are any that don't apply, you'll need to select the section, scroll to the bottom & select 'delete section'. Sofia
English

@HMRCcustomers Do you mean changing from yes to no year on year? If so, then no. It seems to be happening on all the questions in this section. which the answers have not change from my previous assessment
English

@ChouettBlog Is it happening on a specific question? This error message appears if you are changing an answer from No to Yes or Yes to No generally. Sofia
English

@HMRCcustomers Here's an example.
Did you receive any interest, for example, from UK banks, UK building societies, UK unit trusts (or untaxed foreign interest up to £2,000)?
and if I click 'yes' the issue is still the same.
English

@ChouettBlog Which question are you trying to click 'No' to? Sofia
English

@HMRCcustomers So, the section where this is happening is page 2 of 'tailor your return'. Page 1 and 3 are fine. All the other sections are fine as well. But there seems to be a tech issue with this section. The error message is out of whack with a section where the options are yes or no
English

@ChouettBlog Usually this happens if you are trying to change an answer. Does it show you which part of the section cannot be changed? Sofia
English

@HMRCcustomers For the second time no. The only available option on this section of the form is to click either 'yes' or 'no' throughout the form, which I filled in. Once at the bottom of the form I then click and save to continue but it comes up with the error message I mentioned.
English

@ChouettBlog Are you trying to change an entry on the form? Sofia
