I’m not at all surprised that the House and Senate — controlled by the presidents party — are out of session. I am a bit surprised that Democrats haven’t returned to Washington to highlight that the GOP is on recess with DHS closed and the nation on the brink of war.

SpaceX's valuation is skyrocketing: In October 2025, the value of a share of SpaceX's pre-IPO stock on Jupiter was as low as $185. These pre-IPO shares are structured instruments backed 1:1 by SPV exposure, giving investors direct price exposure to SpaceX as a private company on platforms like Jupiter before any public listing. As IPO rumors began to surface in late-2025, the value of these shares surged +135% in December 2025. Now, SpaceX is preparing the largest IPO in history, at a valuation of $1.75 trillion or higher. The value of these same pre-IPO shares is now up to $733/share, marking a near-300% gain since October 2025. The world is about to witness a historic IPO.

Just a few months ago, @ezraklein called on Democrats to abandon reproductive rights, @mattyglesias called for Democrats to join Republicans in bullying trans kids, and many more in the Vox/Faux DC Centrism orbit called on Democrats to acquiesce in Trump's mass deportation schemes in order to "do what's popular" and "win elections." Following these recommendations would certainly have made the Democratic Party “a little more hateful, a little more misogynistic, a little more vulgar, and a little dumber” — but no one who has clutched their pearls over Hasan Piker in the last two weeks ever voiced any concerns about these leading lights of DC centrism when they pushed these reactionary positions. What gives? Considering @hasanthehun has never pushed the Democratic Party to adopt such wacko positions, he seems much better than Ezra Klein, Yglesias, and other Faux DC Centrists at keeping the Democratic Party "on the right side of history." I mean, if we win by throwing people under the bus as recommended by these amoral think-piece writers, would it even be worth it? What kind of victory would that even be?

I feel sick to my stomach waiting around today to see what atrocity Trump has in mind for the people of Iran this evening. It's hard to fathom that our other elected leaders aren't able to check him in any meaningful way. It's really an indictment not just of the electorate but of our whole system of government. We're ruled by a mad king.

Trump believes he is threatening Iran with destruction, but it is America that now stands in danger. If he attempts to eradicate Iranian civilization, the United States will no longer be viewed as a stabilizing force in the world, but as an agent of chaos—effectively ending our status as the world’s greatest superpower. This would upend our economy and shatter the global order. The process is already underway, yet we still have time to avert catastrophe if Trump finds the courage to pursue serious negotiations rather than reckless rage and destruction.
