Hot take (which should NOT be): Zack Werenski is a top TWO defenseman in the NHL. The reason he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves is because he plays in Columbus. Columbus doesn’t get the recognition it deserves because you’ve never been there. It’s awesome.

It sounds so simple but being able to score more goals is going to make life so much easier for the Caps this year. Mistakes are going to happen, and when every goal against doesn't feel like an insurmountable mountain, winning games isn't quite so hard.
