Today we learned about Dia de los Muertos! Students created a sugar skull and included facts about the celebration underneath. 💀

I love starting the school year reading Our Class is a Family. After the read aloud, we discussed what makes our class a family and how we can support one another. 🏠🩷

First week of school ✅ 3-7 had a great week! We worked together in groups to see who could make the longest paper chain using 1 piece of construction paper. We also got to know more about one another with our beach ball ice breaker!

Today was letter K for our ABC countdown. K for Kindness day! We rotated around the classroom writing kind things about each of our classmates.

We published a book! After learning how to write an informational essay, each student chose an animal to research and write about. We were SO excited for this package to come in the mail! 📚

3-6 students chose an animal to research and then created a diorama showing their habitat. I have loved listening to their presentations!

When I received my masters in teaching and taught for a year at the age of 23 I never thought I would one day write a book with a blueprint and tons of strategies to improve school culture, energize teachers and impact students.
