Spring football practice will begin this week on Wednesday, March 25th, and will take place place every Wednesday from now until the end of the school year. Players need to be on the field by 6:00 a.m. ready to go. The locker room will be open at 5:30. #WinnersMentality👇

Great coaching isn’t complicated, it’s intentional. Coaching = teaching + developing. If players are going to develop, they have to learn. Create structure with you’re teaching, regardless if it’s fundamentals, scheme, or drills—there has to be a clear progression: 1.Explain it 2.Demonstrate it 3.Drill it 4.Rep it 5.Give feedback 6.Correct it 7.Encourage it 8.Apply it Most athletes don’t fail from lack of talent, they fail from lack of clarity, reps, and correction. Development = detailed teaching + consistent standards + competitive application. If it doesn’t show up in the game, it hasn’t been taught well enough. Teaching should show up in this order: Meeting Room → Walk Through → Indy → Group → Team → Game #DLineU

If a school wants to add performance training into the school day, here’s how to do it right. ✅ S&C coach ✅ Schedule whole teams in one period ✅ Head coaches present for their team’s lift ✅ Non-athletes get their own period. Only allowed in athletic periods with permission

I’ve been coaching high school football for 33 seasons at the same school. My first season we went 1-9. We were learned to celebrate 1st downs and field goals. Three seasons later we went 9-1, and we were still celebrating first downs and field goals. My key takeaway. Celebrate and highlight the little things. When you do, big things are bound to happen!
