New students and student ambassadors at Grafflin teamed up for a Winter STEAM Challenge led by Ms. Bisantz and Mrs. Zeller. Working in pairs, students built snowpeople with marshmallows and toothpicks, testing ideas and refining their designs. ☃️💙 #WeAreChappaqua @CoachSpillane

Ms. Peragallo’s Grafflin 4th graders wrapped up their nonfiction unit by becoming experts on Earthquakes, the Rock Cycle, Volcanoes and Tsunamis. Each group turned what they learned into posters filled with facts, charts, vocab and drawings. 🌍✨ #WeAreChappaqua @CoachSpillane

🌿 Grafflin 3rd graders in Ms. Staff’s class created playdough plants designed for the continent they’ve been studying. Each model included at least two adaptations, and students explained how they would help the plant survive in the environment. #WeAreChappaqua @CoachSpillane

Before the break at Grafflin, Ms. Staff’s class designed, built and inflated their own parade balloons, calculated the supplies needed and used coding on iPads to map the parade route. A great mix of creativity, tech skills and problem-solving. #WeAreChappaqua @CoachSpillane
