ANNOUNCEMENT The Toledo Museum of Art @ToledoMuseum partners with Yatreda ያጥሬዳ to develop an immersive exhibition surrounding one of Ethiopia's most iconic rituals: House of Yatreda. House of Yatreda will be part of TMA's upcoming exhibition Ethiopia at the Crossroads, placing Yatreda's motion portrait artwork alongside beloved artifacts spanning 1700 years of Ethiopia's rich history, culture and artistic traditions. The immersive experience includes live performances which will be activated several times throughout the exhibition period. The Yatreda collective has been appointed as TMA Labs' 2024 Digital Artist in Residence, and will also mentor Ohio-based artist Jordan Buschur @jordan_buschur in the Web3 environment, fostering community engagement and promoting cross-cultural understanding. Exhibition opens Aug. 17-Nov. 10 More details to follow
