hmm they have tried to make Superbad for zoomers a few times. got closest with Project X there are a few reasons why they keep failing 1. Superbad was really good. Like really, really, really good. So saying Hollywood has failed to make Superbad for the next generation is like saying JK Rowling has failed to make Harry Potter for the next generation or Joseph Heller has failed to make Catch-22 for the next generation 2. Technology has changed a lot. Everyone has cell phones now. FaceTime, etc. Think of how many movies from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s etc. would have their storylines ruined because the characters could just call each other 3. Hollywood was infected with transgender homosexual communism. Superbad was a bit crass. The characters’ main motive was to get girls alcohol to sleep with them. The characters bought it back at the end of the movie, realizing they didn’t want the women to have sex with them just bc they were drunk, but Superbad isn’t Superbad without the crassness. And crass humor doesn’t fly as much.
