Congratulations to Dr. Colin Huber on his PhD dissertation defense yesterday! Proud of the breadth and depth of the work he did to understand head loading in adolescent athletes. #MindsMatter @ChildrensPhila @CIRPatCHOP @pennbioeng

Thanks @WillStewNeuro. Additionally, both male and female #soccer/#football athletes experienced more head impacts than athletes playing #lacrosse, #basketball, or #fieldhockey. doi.org/10.1177/232596…

Excellent work from @Colin_M_Huber et al @pennbioeng How events counted matters but no matter how counted more head impacts #soccer/#football in males than females Recall- #concussion female soccer ~x2 that in males + mechanism different #sex matters journals.lww.com/acsm-msse/Abst…

Excited to share our publication in @OJSM_SportsMed with @kristyarb and @drtinamaster! Male and female high school soccer had the highest head impact rate across four sports. Male teams also had higher impact rates than female teams of the same sport. doi.org/10.1177/232596…

Which sports put high school athletes at the highest risk for head impacts that could lead to concussion? @ChildrensPhila/@Penn's Colin Huber shares findings from a new CHOP study in this #ResearchInAction blog: bit.ly/3bWEPLG #BrainInjuryAwarenessMonth
