I find this rhetoric funny considering 76ers fans said this for YEARS. And it ultimately culminated in Jokic fans like yourself championing the media to create a rule which ultimately ruined Embiid’s career. Now that it affects Jokic all of a sudden you change your narrative.

I think “games played” is the most underrated metric for determining MVP. Obviously availability isn’t the end-all, but you can’t add value in games you don’t play. If the goal is to find the “most valuable player”, then the amount of games they add value matters a ton. In this case, you would have to argue that Jokic has been “6 games more valuable” than Shai.
