Today, my relationship is officially old enough to drink legally… but I’m not about to let that persuade my vision or the desire I have for the future of the life I’ve built with my wife. Like most relationships, we’ve had our ups and downs along the way. I’ve only been in the wrong a couple of times though… At least that’s the story I’m sticking to 😆 But seriously, life - just like sobriety - is a journey, not a destination. It’s been fun. Amazing. Beautiful. And sometimes, I'm a little crazy on this ride together. Sometimes, it even feels like things get harder as time goes on. But when I really stop and look back at it, I realize it’s actually getting easier. That illusion of negativity is really just growth happening in real time. I absolutely love and adore my wife. None of this would have been possible without the help of God and keeping a good head on my shoulders. So thank you, God. Thank you to my incredible wife. Thank you to sobriety for always doing what you do best… looking out for my well-being. This is what I woke up to this morning after 21 years together - 14 of those married. And I wouldn’t trade this life for anything. ❤️
