everyone who justified protest on road during farmer protest and shaheen bagh, are suddenly waking up and saying you can't block roads to protest. 🫣

@InRrajesh @ZZoariah Lol - it was genuine. I protested in solidarity against CAA too and wont be scared to do it again just because some people like you have sold their brains post-2014 and live in denial and have found a legitimacy to their deep seated hatred for humanity under goonda raj

Traffic jams are a problem today… because it’s BJP? Public inconvenience has never been the real issue in India’s protest politics. From Shaheen Bagh to farmers protest, disruption was defended as democratic expression. When this lady shouts protest on grounds, not roads it’s all good? Today, the same disruption is condemned because the actors have changed. It’s because the party doesn’t align with your values or whatsoever. Back then, questioning inconvenience made you anti-farmer or anti-people. Today, the same inconvenience is a national issue. The lady is a national hero. *slow claps*

@sardesairajdeep Yes absolutely but pls use the terminology carefully - political rallies should be banned and done in open spaces, the public protests on the other hand should be allowed and given police protection to ensure orderly movement, avoid traffic disruption like in other countries.

IMPORTANT: Can we have a ban on ALL political protests on main roads at peak hours on weekdays across India? If you wish to protest, please do so in a designated area at a fixed time. Protestors are brought in buses, main roads are blocked, traffic gets congested and citizens bear the brunt. Mumbai yesterday, where else tomorrow? 😡

BJP Minority Morcha leader Nazia (habitual offender) has crossed every limit of hate and bigotry. In her own words: “If I become the Chief Minister of a state, I will demolish all mosques and madrasas… Mosques are always empty… Muslims pray on roads… Why are there mosques? For no reason. They should be demolished & made into schools.” Imagine if a Muslim said the same for a Hindu temple?

Today, a video of a woman from Mumbai is going viral in which she is angrily shouting at a BJP leader for blocking the road during a protest, which caused her inconvenience. And now, everyone - including the left and opposition -is supporting this woman. But two years ago, when a girl reacted in the same way and got angry at farmers for blocking roads during the farmer protests, the same left-liberals and opposition heavily trolled and mocked her. In both cases, the situation is the same - so why this double standard?

@Tatya420 Forget about me. Seems like you are definitely a jingoistic. And you cannot sincerely say that there is nothing wrong with the kind of discourse Modi Shah are peddling in Bengal. Why are they SO obsessed with votes that they will destroy the social fabric if our country

A woman is allegedly seen losing her cool on Maharashtra cabinet minister Girish Mahajan, over the traffic snarl caused by the BJP morcha in Mumbai on Tuesday evening. This was during a protest march on the issue of the Women's Reservation Bill. She was heard asking the minister to protest on a ground, and not hold up the traffic by marching on the streets. The opposition hit out at the BJP while appreciating the woman. - @vinivdvc reports Video: Special Arrangement

@Commonsensiee @ians_india Really? By that logic, every PM and CM in this country should be denied a visa and labeled a terrorist. Stop giving rubbish arguments. It was because of Cong and Sonia’s hatred, and the threat they saw to their own position, that they lobbied &wrote a letter with signatures.

Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge says, "How can they (AIADMK) join with Modi? He is a terrorist. And he who won't believe in equality. His party won't believe in equality and justice. And these people are joining with them, it means that they are weakening democracy..."

@Sugam21965060 @ians_india Actually if you read closely, central govt at the time in fact requested US for a review of its negative decision. So your claim that Cong wrote letters is false. Thats not how US immigration works.
