The National Interest just ranked the T-72 as the world’s best tank. Not the Abrams. Not the Leopard 2A8. A Soviet-era design from the 1970s, because it costs a fraction of the price and can be built at scale. One Leopard 2 costs enough to produce 683 Russian Lancet drones. The battlefield has moved on. The procurement budgets haven’t

Araghchi has been in Islamabad, Muscat and Moscow this week. Iran’s position has been consistent, they are negotiating on their own timetable, not Washington’s. Hormuz is still closed, strikes are still happening, and Congress has yet to formally authorise any of it. [3/3]

The only remaining legal cover after Friday is the 30-day withdrawal extension under Section 5(b) of the 1973 War Powers Act. The clause was written specifically to extract forces, not to continue offensive operations. Hill lawyers have been raising this issue quietly for weeks. [2/3]

Friday marks 60 days since Trump’s War Powers notification to Congress on 2nd March. The Senate has voted four times on authorisation resolutions, all four failed. The last one on 13th April went 47-52, with Republicans blocking procedural moves rather than allow a full roll call. [1/3]

BREAKING: VP JD Vance has privately questioned the Pentagon’s portrayal of the Iran war in closed-door meetings, fearing the U.S. missile stockpile depletion has been drastically understated, per @TheAtlantic. Sources say Iran still holds ⅔ of its air force & most of its missile capability. The US may have burned through 50%+ of 4 key munitions. Hegseth declared “complete control of Iranian skies” - then Iran shot down a US jet. The cracks in Trump’s war cabinet are widening. 🧵 #IranWar #Vance #Pentagon #BreakingNews

@BigWave372 Stupid bitch! How’s that his problem? That’s how the system works, if you don’t prepare for it you will get stupid people like her making excuses. She decided to have that kid I assume, all her decisions led her to that job at the bank. There is no one to blame but her.

Romania’s largest party, the Social Democrats (PSD), is teaming up with far-right AUR to file a no-confidence motion against PM Ilie Bolojan’s pro‑EU government, a move that could put key EU funds and Romania’s credit rating at risk. #romania #Bolojan #EU

Without a clear AI rulebook, South Africa risks slowing investment into local AI startups and data‑center projects as investors price in higher regulatory risk and policy volatility. Global experience shows that fragmented or uncertain AI rules can delay venture funding, push R&D to more predictable jurisdictions and raise compliance costs for listed tech and telecom names. At the same time, pulling the policy entirely, instead of fixing the citations, risks South Africa falling behind other African markets that are racing to define AI standards as a lever for productivity, jobs and export‑oriented digital services. South Africa has withdrawn its draft National AI Policy after officials found multiple fictitious, likely AI‑generated citations in the reference list, a failure the communications minister says “compromised the integrity and credibility” of the entire document. The draft was meant to guide how AI is used across government and business, from finance to telecoms, and was out for public comment just weeks before this U‑turn. Why this matters for the economy 👇 [1/2]

Mali is currently in a state of severe crisis following a series of coordinated attacks on April 25, 2026, by jihadist militants and Tuareg-led separatist groups. Defense Minister General Sadio Camara, a key figure in the ruling military junta and architect of Mali’s security alliance with Russia, was killed in a suicide truck bombing at his home in Kati. Following the attack, junta leader President Assimi Goïta was reportedly evacuated from his residence to a secure location. Furthermore, separatist forces, specifically the Azawad Liberation Front, have declared the strategic northern city of Kidal “free” after both Malian army units and Russian Africa Corps mercenaries withdrew from the area.

Israeli strikes killed 14 people and wounded 37 in southern Lebanon on Sunday, according to Lebanon’s health ministry, as Israel warned residents to leave seven towns north of the Litani River. The strikes reportedly included two children and two women among the dead, while Israel said one of its soldiers was also killed as the fragile ceasefire faced fresh strain.

Ever notice… Not one aerospace engineer, orbital mechanic, rocket propulsion specialist, avionics technician, mission controller, flight dynamics officer, structural engineer, materials scientist, thermal systems engineer, optical physicist, radio frequency engineer, radar operator, satellite tracking analyst, astronomer, astrophysicist, cosmologist, geologist, planetologist, atmospheric scientist, meteorologist, oceanographer, biologist, medical doctor, flight surgeon, military pilot, test pilot, naval officer, intelligence analyst, CIA operative, NSA signals analyst, Pentagon official, defense contractor, weapons inspector, UN observer, foreign government, rival space agency, Roscosmos engineer, ESA mission planner, JAXA scientist, CNSA analyst, ISRO researcher, science journalist, investigative reporter, documentary filmmaker, professional photographer, photogrammetry expert, digital forensics analyst, CGI artist, VFX supervisor, Hollywood special effects technician, AI researcher, computer vision scientist, image authentication specialist, metadata analyst, cryptographer, academic peer reviewer, university professor, Nobel laureate, or government oversight committee - anywhere around the globe, in any country, speaking any language - has identified a single frame of Artemis II as fake. But TruthSeekr666 and NasaLies420 has spotted it all. Every photo. Every video. Obvious CGI. Total AI slop. Weird how that works.

because you spent the last year and a half saying that you were america first and didn’t need the help of any of country, slapped tariffs on everyone, then invaded a country without telling anyone, and then suddenly needed help? NATO is a defensive alliance, not your personal army.

PRESIDENT TRUMP: We spent trillions of dollars in NATO, but when I asked them to get involved in a smaller situation, they weren’t there for us. None of them. I don’t think NATO would be there for us in a larger skirmish, and therefore I think they’ve got themselves a problem.
