Absolutely pathetic from Reform UK MPs as they stage a mass (well, eight) walkout of #PMQs. Obviously pre-rehearsed but very much reflective of their thin-skinned demeanour in Westminster. Rare to see them in the chamber at all to be fair.

Shadow chancellor Mel Stride says "thanks to Labour’s mismanagement" the UK is "entering this latest energy crisis with the highest inflation in the G7 When one considers the response from Mel Stride, a degree of candour is required. To attribute present conditions to “Labour’s mismanagement” is not merely selective, it is a distortion of recent economic history. When the Conservatives were in government, and when Mr Stride himself held senior office, food price inflation rose to around 19 per cent, placing severe and sustained pressure upon households across the country. By the time they left office, that figure had fallen to approximately 5.2 per cent, yet it remained elevated, and the damage to household finances had already been done. It is therefore difficult to accept lectures on economic stewardship from those who presided over such conditions. The reality is that the present government inherited an economy weakened by years of austerity, compounded by the consequences of Brexit, and exposed to global shocks without sufficient resilience. Against that backdrop, inflation holding at around 3 per cent does not indicate an economy in free fall. It reflects a gradual process of stabilisation. That progress may not be rapid, but it is movement in the right direction, and it stands in contrast to the volatility seen in the preceding years. Challenges remain, particularly in relation to energy exposure and cost pressures. Yet the direction of travel is clear. The current position is not the product of sudden mismanagement, but the slow repair of an economy left in a fragile state. What we are witnessing, therefore, is not economic collapse, but the early stages of recovery, however inconvenient that may be for those who would prefer a different narrative.

@KirstieMAllsopp The fact that in 2026 you are still driving a vehicle is frankly sickening. Do you even care about the planet? I homeschool my kids, live above a Tesco local store, reduce my carbon footprint due to chronic ADHD & only use taxis to travel. I suggest you wise up a little.

If you are going to close a major artery in & out of London, then it *might* help if you ensure that other roads in the area are not closed/restricted as well. West London is in gridlock at the moment, someone has effed up.

@WilsonTball @GordonFielden People like you love saying 14 years of Tories, but forget the first 5 were a hung parliament. They spent 5 years trying to agree terms with the Lib Dem’s whilst trying to fix the mess of Blair and Brown.

@WilsonTball @GordonFielden Well you don’t clear up a mess by making a far bigger mess. Arguably the Tories spent 14 years trying to fix the last Labour mess.

@Considered_ @GordonFielden And we got hit harder on them due to the shitshow the tories were before them, almost doubled debt pre Covid, while cutting every service to the bone with austerity, using taxpayers money as their personal piggy bank, selling off state assets to friends cheap to fudge the numbers

🚨 Graham Hancock on Piers Morgan: Priests CHANTING to LEVITATE 70-ton granite blocks up the Great Pyramid? “I’m reading ancient texts that talk about priests chanting and raising a huge block into the air.” “Nobody has yet come up with a convincing explanation” after 100+ years… and the ramp theory? “Completely ludicrous.” Lost ancient tech… or something extraterrestrial? What do YOU think really built the Pyramids? Aliens? Sound levitation? Or total myth? Drop your theory below 👇

@SeddSezz They will tax anyone with 2 pennies left to their name to give to people who are left with nothing. Clueless, dangerous and the sooner they are gone the better. They aren't alone though, where in Europe are they different? Its all part of a plan

🚨MIDDLE CLASS TO MISS OUT ON REEVES' ENERGY SUPPORT Reeves is currently addressing soaring energy bills in the Commons. No cut in fuel duty. No VAT scrap. No drilling. No fracking. Instead, she says she's "sticking to my fiscal rules." She is defiant in the face of much-deserved criticism and wants to decimate the pocket of every possible Brit.

North Sea Oil was sold off by the Tories and is sold on the open global oil market so it would NOT be cheaper. Helen Whately calls it “our own gas” no it isn’t Helen .. your party sold it off for a fraction of its worth. Stop misleading the public @BBCNews

@retrobike_c16 @moving_charlie @grok I don't. It isn't their fault, the fault lies with the ridiculous planning laws that we have, that require £180m spent to decide something isn't worth doing
