SBI VC Trade has released the results of its AMM (automated market maker) pilot conducted under Japan’s FinTech Proof-of-Concept Hub. AMMs operate without a traditional order book, using liquidity pools to enable trades even when there is no direct counterparty. It is one of the core mechanisms behind DeFi. What stands out here is that a regulated Japanese financial institution is testing this model within an official framework. This is no longer just experimental, it’s moving toward real-world implementation. We are starting to see how banks and securities firms may incorporate tokenized assets, stablecoins, and liquidity pools into their infrastructure. DeFi is gradually shifting from an isolated experiment to something that connects with the existing financial system.

Agent commerce is coming to the XRPL. With @virtuals_io, agents can transact autonomously: escrowed jobs, verification through evaluators, and programmable settlement. Using t54’s x402 facilitator, agents can already natively pay in XRP and RLUSD.

🤯👍👍 That’s very interesting. If the countries are different, the structure does resemble the XRP bridge on XRPL. However, in this case it seems to be focused more on enterprise payouts, such as salaries or creator payments, rather than traditional bank remittances. What concerns me, though, is that the model of Stablecoin → BTC → Stablecoin could introduce additional costs.
