@dkennytcd I was the last exhibits officer to give evidence at the final trial held in the Green Street court. You should deliver your address from the witness stool atop the solicitor’s table just like the trials of old. (Before you ask ,no I didn’t give my evidence for said stool.)

It was a huge honour to be invited to give a seminar on the Judicial Power in the Irish Constitution to the Irish judiciary in the stunning Green Street courthouse, though there are few things that will inspire a greater sense of imposter syndrome.

@rtenews I sat beside Shane in class in Trinity when we were both doing our Masters in Law. We had many a chat throughout our studies. He had so many plans for the future it was so sad what happened.

Africia Truckers update: We finaly reach the Tanzania 🇹🇿 Uganda 🇺🇬 boarder. Stuck for hours in the between countries where a broken computer system for the vehicles xray 😉 for 6 hours in the mid day sun.

Africia truckers update: we left for a straight run to the boarder. Loads of drama there which I’ll post later. Everyone is well and in good spirits.

Update Africia Truckers: Some hard driving and drama over night. The roads have moved into dirt tracks with some serious potholes.

AFRICA TRUCKERS UPDATE :Everyone is well. Moving through Tanzania with donated vehicles from Japan to Uganda. Plan today is 800km to our next stop. We are raising money for the hospice in Uganda to provide end of life care. If you can donate anything at all it would be fantastic

As part of the journey Im fundraising for the Hospica Africa who provide end of life care to those who would otherwise not receive it in end if life care.

idonate.ie/fundraiser/115… These vehicles are donated by the Japanese government to African communities that do not have emergency vehicles of their own. It is a road journey of 2000km to deliver these ambulance and fire trucks to the communities.

@christinafinn8 @thejournal_ie Training Allowance increased at the start of their career… and retirement age increased at the end of their career…the only problem issues left is what happens to the gardai during their 30 years service, many have not addressed it yet.

FG wants to fund 6,000 new Garda recruits and increase reserve to 3,000 - plans to open a second Garda training college. McEntee quizzed on why voters should believe this is possible when govt has struggled to hit recruitment targets. More on @thejournal_ie shortly

@RTE_PrimeTime @rtenews Training Allowance increased at the start of their career… and retirement age increased at the end of their career…….the only issues left is that 30 years service that gardai serve in the middle of those two things that’s left to fix.
