Guys, I feel so bad for this guy, Actor Jo Byeong Gyu He was accused of bullying, and from what I know, After the allegations came out, he decided to sue the accuser to clear his name, and the whole thing turned into a legal battle. In 2021, police investigations had concluded that the allegations were fabricated and the accuser had apologised to him. The craziest part? Because he was such a huge star with so many brand deals, the companies are reportedly demanding around ₩4 billion in penalties for the damage caused by the scandal. He’s been presenting evidence and trying to prove he’s innocent, but according to the company, the evidence isn’t enough and he still has to pay. They’re basically saying they don’t care whether he’s guilty or not—the scandal happened, the brands were affected, and that’s all that matters to them. But what about his reputation? His name and career are on the line too. 😭 What I can’t comprehend is that he’s still fighting to clear his name while the companies seem more focused on the damage to their brands than on whether the accusations were actually true or false. Tell me why some journalists who followed the South Korean football team to the World Cup got caught bad-mouthing Son Heung-min, (the Team’s Captain) they didn’t know their audio was being picked up. They were criticizing the captain because he was exempted from mandatory military service. When it came out, the team didn’t take it lightly. Now the players have decided not to give those media outlets any attention. Even though some of the people involved have reportedly been sacked, the players are still standing firmly behind their captain. I absolutely love this response.👏 is it possible for actors and idols to borrow from this kind of response especially when something similar happens?🤦‍♀️
