Tompkins Cortland Community College Panthers started Cross Country in the fall of 2019. Hard work and determination by all runners on this team was evident.

Sure, flat ground feels easier. But you aren't helping your running. Here's more proof that you should be doing hill repeats. bit.ly/3p6SSYp

To play your best in games, you need to let go of all your fears, trust your instincts, and allow your body to do what you’ve trained it to do.

Division 1 Track & Field Misconception advice for the youth. There are levels to D1. A lot of kids ask me how to make it D1 and what kind of marks they need to get. Understand this, there are D1 High Jumpers who Jump 7’6 and there are also D1 High jumpers who Jump 6’4. This type of gap takes place in every event on the track as well. There are so many D1 schools that are levels to Division 1 as a whole. Requirements will depend on what conference you choose to compete in. Also there is nothing wrong with D2, D3, JUCO etc. Some of the greatest athletes started in those divisions and became Olympians, National record holders and more. So it’s not D1 or bust. It’s great to have goals but be grateful for any opportunity and don’t sell yourself short. #Trackandfield

Playing college athletics on any level is life-changing. It’s YOUR path, YOUR journey. Don’t ever compare yourself to anyone else or anyone else’s choices. Very few athletes get the chance to play at all. Be proud of the rare opportunity you’ve been given & make the most of it!

It is better to try and fail than to not try at all. The pain of regret is stronger than the pain of failure.

Sunday shoutout to ALL the college athletes out there 💪🙌 No matter where you're competing at, Power 5 to the smallest JUCO & everywhere in between, YOU should be proud of yourself! Small % of HS athletes go to the next-level, don't take your opportunity for granted ✊️💯

As an athlete, you’re remembered most by your biggest achievements, not your failures. Let this give you the courage to take risks and the resilience to bounce back from adversity.

When looking at self talk in tennis matches, researchers found that winners & losers didn’t differ in the amount of positive self-talk that they used. But match winners utilized less negative self-talk Don't let your inner voice spiral towards negativity
