@StanBanned Also, when planes have an emergency but are too heavy to land, they will either dump fuel or fly around and burn enough fuel to land. They will also often try to troubleshoot their problem in an area that’s safer to do that, like over the ocean and not over a well populated area

@StanBanned I was listening to the ATC to hear why, but all I heard was ATC alert emergency crews that the plane was inbound and another pilot requested to use the runway they were going to land at and ATC told him no, there’s an emergency.
