Sunday Brief – April 12, 2026 Challenge 0012 is nearing completion, with strong participation from miners and visible progress on fixing the CoralNPU bug. Brief Summary With only a couple of days remaining in Challenge 0012, miners have actively competed and pushed multiple improved submissions. Some designs have crossed the minimum correctness threshold, reaching scores around ~75%, and are already earning emissions. While this is good progress, the bug is still not fully resolved, and further improvements are needed to push toward full correctness. Depending on the final outcome, the challenge may be relaunched to continue progress. In parallel, the team has found some more bugs in the NPU and significantly improved EDA Server performance. Challenge 0012 Bug Fixing - Challenge 0012 is in its final days, with strong miner participation and multiple submissions across a wide score range - Several designs have crossed the minimum threshold (~70%), with top scores reaching ~74.99% and ~75.63% - Miners are already earning emissions for improved designs - Further work is needed to push correctness closer to 100% - Depending on final results, the challenge may be relaunched to continue improving the fix Chip Design Team - Identified issues in the CoralNPU debug/verification interface where some instructions appear incorrect on the debug port despite executing correctly - The issue is confirmed, and further debugging is ongoing to clearly categorize and understand all related cases before starting a fix - Miners also helped surface some issues on the verification side, which were quickly debugged and resolved by the team - Upcoming challenges remain planned and will be launched once the current bug-fixing phase is completed EDA Server - Identified and fixed critical storage growth issue that was significantly slowing down design evaluation - Evaluation time dramatically reduced after resolving storage bottleneck - Removed unused Verilator and OpenLane result files, further improving storage efficiency and cleanup processes - Server performance now significantly faster and more stable Website - Leaderboard updated to be more miner-friendly, improving visibility of individual scores and comparisons across submissions Let's finish this challenge strong and push correctness higher so we can move forward with a solid NPU.

Be honest with me. A major builder just walked out of Bittensor loudly. Does that make you want to buy $TAO at $250 or never touch it again? The answer you give right now says everything about the kind of trader you actually are. BUYING THE DIP or NEVER AGAIN Reply below. I am reading every single one. Screenshot this. Agree or cap? Follow me. I follow back fast. Try me. NFA DYOR

Sunday Brief – April 5, 2026 Challenge 0011 did not lead to a complete fix, so the bug-fixing effort has been relaunched as Challenge 0012, with stronger early participation from miners. Brief Summary As the bug was not resolved in Challenge 0011, we relaunched the effort as Challenge 0012, where miner participation has already been better in the first few days. While some progress is visible, the bug is still not fully fixed. In parallel, we engaged with the community through an AMA session and discussions, sharing updates and direction. At the same time, upcoming challenges are already planned, but parts of the validation setup still need deeper understanding before they are ready to go live. Community & Updates - Held an AMA session with @SubnetSummerTAO, recording available here: youtube.com/watch?v=xkXXe_… - Follow-up questions were discussed on Telegram, covering challenges, validation flow, and overall direction Challenge 0012 Bug Fixing - Challenge 0012 is live as a continuation of the unresolved issue from Challenge 0011 - The bug fix could take some time as the current best submission has reached ~51.65% functionality, but still far from minimal fix (70%), and the full fix (100%) - No complete solution yet, further improvement is needed from miners to fully resolve the issue Chip Design Team - The validation setup for the upcoming bug-hunting challenge is not finalized yet, some edge cases and issues still need deeper analysis before it can be safely launched - The bug-hunting challenge is already planned and will follow once the validation pipeline is stable - In parallel, we plan to continue work on the MCU alongside ongoing NPU efforts - Preparation of MCU-related challenges has already started, building on the processor developed earlier - These will be launched once the current bug is resolved and the bug-fixing phase has had enough time to run Challenge 0012 is still in progress, and the bug remains unresolved for now. The bug-hunting challenge is planned but depends on stabilizing the validation pipeline first. MCU challenges are also lined up and will follow once the current phase has had enough time to run. The validator, subnet codebase, and website continue to operate smoothly in the background.

Challenge 0011 is back — now as CoralNPU RTL Bug Fix. Debug and fix bugs in the CoralNPU RISC-V vector processor RTL. The buggy design fails certain vector instruction sequences. Miners must identify and fix the issues to achieve the target functionality score. This is real chip design, not a simulation. Show us what you've got. Live now on ChipForge(SN84). chipforge.io/leaderboard

In our view @X doesn’t comply with the DSA in key transparency areas. It misleads users, fails to provide adequate ad repository and blocks access to data for researchers. It’s the first time we issue preliminary findings under the Digital Services Act. 👇 europa.eu/!CGPVCV

Sunday Brief | Sept 28, 2025 We’re starting something new at @TatsuEcosystem. From today onward, our team will be providing weekly progress updates in a series we’re calling the Sunday Brief. Here’s what we worked on this week: ChipForge Challenge Server – New endpoints to rebatch expired submitted batches for evaluation – Endpoints to rebatch selective miner submissions for evaluation (prevents extra submissions from miners since they get 5 attempts total) – Additional admin endpoints to better manage challenges, miners' submissions, and validators' score submissions Chipforge Validator Codebase – Logical improvements in incentive mechanism – Parallel validation of submissions feature added (up to 8 design submissions can be evaluated in parallel, drastically reducing validation time and maximizing hardware utilization) Chip Design Side – New design challenges and their test case datasets are under preparation by our hardware design team Miners Update – Miners are competing, right now, no miner is successful with solving the challenge – We’re constantly receiving messages from miners with erroneous codes – We’re happy to help, but due to active development we can’t always reply to DMs – We strongly recommend miners to carefully read the ReadMe files and PDF instructions — they are there for a reason Frontend Side – Dedicated ChipForge website is comming soon – Miners leaderboard as almost finished.

Tatsu proudly introduces ChipForge (SN84) — the first decentralized hardware design project. For the first time in the history of this space, miners won’t just secure networks or generate proofs — they will compete to design real silicon chips. ChipForge brings hardware innovation to the decentralized frontier, making it possible for a global community of builders to contribute directly to next-generation processor design. Our system introduces a challenge-based model: complex processor designs are broken down into competitive, manageable building blocks. Each challenge — whether it’s related to an AI accelerator, a crypto chip, or a mini-GPU — represents a critical component of a larger processor design. Miners download specifications, collaborate with AI models, and submit optimized designs as full Verilog/SystemVerilog implementations. The best solutions earn rewards, and collectively advance toward complete, manufacturable chips. Our immediate targets include the hardware design industries, while our long-term vision reaches into IoT, robotics, edge devices, and post-quantum security hardware — with the potential to collaborate with and provide market-ready designs for major chipmakers such as NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel as opportunities emerge. Within a year, we aim to transition from design to full-scale fabrication — a milestone that will bring decentralized silicon from concept to reality. As ChipForge grows, we plan to reinvest network revenue from design IPs and fabricated chips back into the ecosystem, including buybacks, ensuring sustainable value for the community. Backed by the Tatsu validator team, and open to future **partnerships with leading hardware design companies**, ChipForge marks the beginning of a new era: hardware, designed by the world, for the world — on-chain. The future of decentralized silicon starts now.
